The canyon reaches a depth of 130 feet and is accessible by hiking along a three-and-a-half mile wash. Photographers love to capture the colors from the sunlight gleaming into this incredible, natural canyon. Since Antelope Canyon is on the Navajo Reservation, visitors wanting to see it, must travel with a licensed tour guide. Stay close to the canyon and beautiful Lake Powell, in a comfortable Best Western guest room and make the most of your time in Northern Arizona.

Whether enjoying the hour tour of Glen Canyon Dam or finding a beach along the 1,960 miles of shoreline on Lake Powell, there is plenty of recreational fun for everyone. Backpacking in the Escalante and four-wheeling on backroads are popular land-based activities. Lake Powell

A beautiful treasure awaits visitors in Page, Arizona. Incredible Lake Powell was created when the Glen Canyon Dam was built in 1966, for hydroelectricity. This magnificent lake, featuring 1,960 miles of shoreline, is the second-largest man-make lake in the country, behind Lake Mead, Nevada. The lake is named after John Wesley Powell, an American Civil War Veteran who explored the Colorado River in 1869. While in Page, take time to stroll through the John Wesley Powell Museum to learn more about this American West explorer.

When Lake Powell is full, it holds 24,000,000 acre feet of water and spans 254 square miles, across Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. Recreational enthusiasts love spending time on the lake. Favorite water sports on the lake include boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing, swimming, fishing and tubing. A must-see Lake Powell attraction is Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
