Visiting NAU's Campus in Northern Arizona
Set in Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University is a gem in the northern Arizona landscape. Established in 1899, NAU is a public institution originally known as the Northern Arizona Normal School. Today. NAU offers students an array of undergraduate and graduate degrees to more than 23,000 students.
NAU is home to impressive inner colleges such as the W. A. Frnake College of Business, the College of Arts and Letters, and the College of Engineering, Forestry, and Natural Sciences.
Athletically, the NAU Lumberjacks compete in the Big Sky Conference. During the fall, visitors from Page and other Arizona cities can see the NAU Lumberjacks football team at the Walkup Skydome.
The NAU men’s and women’s basketball teams also play all home games at the Walkup Skydome. During swimming season, be sure to check out the suited-up Lumberjacks at Douglas J. Wall Aquatic Center.
Visitors from nearby cities like Payson, Heber, and Cottonwood enjoy visiting Flagstaff for a chance to check out the Lowell Obervatory, the Museum of Norhtern Arizona, and some sterling examples of local art at the NAU Art Museum.
