Visit the Sun Devils in the Phoenix Metro Area
Located in Tempe, Arizona State University was established in 1885. A fun and vibrant city, Tempe yields plenty of excitement for visitors to the Phoenix metropolitan area – as Tempe is set just east of downtown Phoenix.
Check out the Gammage Auditorium. Designed by the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, Gammage Auditorium hosts live musical performances, theater productions, lectures, and commencements.
ASU is also home to well-know colleges such as the W.P Carey School of Business, and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism – actually located in ASU's downtown Phoenix Campus. Other campuses include ASU West in Glendale, and ASU Polytechnic in Mesa.
The Arizona State Sun Devils athletics are a major draw in the area. In the fall, the Sun Devils football team plays all home games at Sun Devil Stadium, set just north of campus. During the winter and early spring, the men’s and women’s Sun Devils basketball teams play at Wells Fargo Arena. And during the spring, visit Packard Stadium, home to the Sun Devils baseball team – one of the most successful programs in NCAA history.
