Saguaro National Park
Explore Saguaro National Park
The monarch of the Sonoran Dessert, also known as the saguaro has been protected in Saguaro National Park since 1933.
The two areas of the park, east of Tucson in the Rincon Mountains and west of Tucson in the Tucson Mountains, encompass over 91,000 acres.
A variety of cactus including the barrel cactus and prickly pear are also abundant in the park. Both areas include a visitor center.
With over 165 miles of trails, there are plenty of choices for park exploration, including guided walks, talks and bicycling. The Tuscon area is a premier destination in Arizona, the Saguaro's are just one reason.
