Fort Bowie National Historic Site

Located in the southeastern corner of the Copper State, the Fort Bowie National Historic Site commemorates early conflicts between American military and the nearby Chiricahua Apaches. The monument can be found just east of Benson and north of the Chiricahua National Monument.

Things to do while exploring the park include viewing Fort Bowie ruins and learning more about its history through the visitor center. The park also features several hiking trails and wildlife viewing opportunities.
